Hello folks, I just wanted tell you that I finally got the website I’ve been working on up and running! The site is called Sudoku Madness, and as the the title implies, allows you to play Sudoku puzzles straight through your web browser.
If you aren’t hip to my puzzle jargon, Sudoku puzzles are those 9×9 grid puzzles that you’ve probably seen people solving within the last year. The grid has a some of it’s squares filled in. It is the player’s job to fill in the rest through a process of elimination. The rules are as follows: each row must contain the digits one through nine, without any duplicates; each column must have the digits one through nine, without any duplicates; and each 3×3 subgrid within the puzzle (there are 9 of them), must contain each of the digits from one to nine as well.
There are already sites that let you play Sudoku on the Internet, but mine is unique because it lets you print the puzzles out and play them the “classic way” for no charge at all. In fact the site has been optimized to allow users to print out puzzles with a minimum of fuss and with as few “extras” as possible on their printed pages, as to not waste ink. There is even a feature on the site that let’s players print out grid paper to help them solve the puzzles.
When I first went to register the domain that I desired, I found that it was already registered by one of these filthy “domain squatters.” Unfortunately I actually had to pay money to get it, but in the meantime I broke down and bought another domain as well. You can now find my site at both sudokumadness.com and sudokumadness.net.
I hope everyone enjoys it! If you decide to play and have a suggestion for the site, please let me know!
